The context

A female leader at a pivotal moment in her managerial career

Our beneficiary is a Vice President of Digital & Innovation within a large international industrial group in the healthcare sector. Operating in a complex matrix environment, at the interface of multiple stakeholders — direct and indirect hierarchy, teams, partners, subsidiaries — she wanted to take her leadership role to the next level and strengthen her impact beyond her sphere of technical comfort.

Recognized for her expertise and professional skills, she sought to develop a broader influence, to better understand the resonance of her decisions in her professional environment, and to fully flourish in her role as a manager with a high level of responsibility.

The stakes

Going beyond technical expertise to assert global leadership

In large organizations, highly technical professionals often face the same challenge: their professional expertise is undeniable, but their sphere of influence remains limited to their comfort zone. Expanding this influence, learning to navigate internal power dynamics, and adapting communication to a wide range of stakeholders—these are all skills that cannot be acquired through traditional training.

The objectives of this Coaching program were precisely defined from the first interview: to acquire the behavioral automatisms essential to the targeted professional positioning, to improve managerial and collaborative communication, to develop the cognitive reflexes allowing his ideas and decisions to resonate more with his environment, and to fully flourish in his role as manager.

Our approach

A structured program, rooted in everyday professional life

The program began with an in-depth diagnostic interview, during which OREANCE and the beneficiary co-constructed the areas of progress and formalized a contract of precise objectives, based on the ECOLE method.

The program unfolded over three months, organized into two distinct phases: an initial intensive phase of one two-hour session per week, followed by a consolidation phase with a decreasing frequency. Between each session, the participant engaged in personal reflection, leading to concrete and measurable decisions.

The sessions combined introspective interviews, analysis of real-life situations, role-playing exercises, and work on automatic behavioral patterns. A personalized progress portfolio was created throughout the program. Following the sessions, a two-month follow-up period allowed participants to consolidate their learning.

The results

Tangible progress towards precisely defined objectives

Why this project is representative of our approach

This project illustrates one of the most frequent use cases for management coaching in large organizations: supporting a highly skilled professional to take the next step towards more assertive and comprehensive leadership. Technical expertise alone is no longer sufficient at a certain level of responsibility—it is posture, communication, and situational awareness that make the difference.

It also illustrates the deeply personalized dimension of our approach: a program co-constructed with the beneficiary, objectives defined together, and long-term follow-up that goes well beyond the last session.
